"Centro Integrado de Formación Profesional Número Uno" is an urban vocational school located in Santander, 4 km away from the city centre, in one of the largest industrial areas in the region. Santander is a city with a total population of 180,000 inhabitants. Most of the inhabitants of the area where the school is situated work in industries and commerce-related activities.

 

 

Our school offers initial and continuing vocational education and training for young and adult students and the main axes of our strategic plan are opening-up to other countries and offering a vocational training of quality and technologically updated. Our main objectives are to strengthen relations with enterprises and other schools, to facilitate and promote professional and personal mobility, to adapt methodologies to the profile of VET students and to foster the use of English as a second language.

"Centro Integrado de Formación Profesional Número Uno" is attended by 570 students in Initial Vocational Training with an offer of 14 Training Cycles. Besides the usual presential education, we  also offer  other education modalities such as  dual  vocational training, bilingual programmes, distance learning education and an average of 3,075 hours of Continuous Training both for workers in and out of work. Thanks to this offer our school is closer to the real labour market.
